Qatar’s National Vision aims that – by 2030 – Qatar becomes an advanced society capable of sustaining its development and providing a high standard of living for its people. As part of this aim a nationwide program will provide a comprehensive infrastructure for new areas that lack infrastructure facilities, in addition to developing and enhancing existing infrastructure in central and suburban areas.
Roads and Infrastructure in Semaisma Project is a mixed-use planned urban development consisting of a residential community, government buildings, schools and mosques. It is located 20 km North of Doha International Airport. AI Khor Expressway and North Shamal Roads provide the primary means of access to the community.
The project area is predominately virgin land area with a limited number of commercial plots along Semaisma Road and is known as Semaisma West. This area will benefit from a complete installation of regulatory infrastructure.
The project is a part of the program, and will deliver a comprehensive infrastructure service to 556 Plots in a 1,450,000 square meter area (145 hectares) and a 56,000 square meter Emergency Flood Area for stormwater.
The project covers 3 zones, 2 zones in suburban areas and one zone in urban areas, including the development of roads, drainage, and new infrastructure in the following main disciplines.
